THE "HOME TEAM" NEWS

Tippy (Kathmandu's Malishar Moment), shown at 4 months above, is growing up to be a very nice young lady - one of the nicest I have bred.  She has all of her singles (owner-handled) and is now searching for those rare and illusive majors!

Tippy

Belle has grown into a delightful and spirited redhead.  She passed her OFA and CERF exams last year and had her first, and so far only, litter in the fall of 2005.

THE "AWAY TEAM" - BRAGS

Luna, aka Kathmandu's Hidden Fire (CH. Salishan Jump Start, UD, AX, AXJ, CGC, TDI x Kathmandu's Devil in Disguise), was handled by Jami Smith to WB and BOS for her first point under Charles Bett.Luna shares her Sacramento home with Martha Schwartzmann and her canine cousins, Kathmandu's Jump for Joy, CGC and Kathmandu's Tiny Treasure.

Luna's brother, Flash, is also being shown and is pictured below .

Joy finishing her Rally Novice title
Joy (Kathmandu's Jump for Joy) is Martha Schwartzmann's new performance dog.  She slowed down her joyful antics long enough to earn her CGC in October 2004 and to get the first qualifying score for her "Tunneler's" title. Since then she has added her Rally Novice and Novice Agility Jumpers titles and has two of the three legs for her Novice Agility (standard) title.

Joy - tire

Joy was recently joined by her litter sister, Minnie (Kathmandu's Tiny Treasure) who will join Luna and Joy in their travels and show in traditional obedience.  Joy and Minnie are littermates to Felix, shown immediately below.

MAJOR congratulations to Diana & Jim Serlo with CH. Kathmandu's Flash DanSer from my May litter.  At his first show  he went BOW for an owner-handled 5 (yes, FIVE) point major at the tender age of 6 months under j. Bob Moore.
Flash - Cleveland Dec 2004
Flash completed his conformation title at the Altoona KC show in September 2005 (completely owner handled) and will be following in his father's pawprints in an agility career.

Congratulations to Sarah Osmeloski and Felix (Kathmandu's Snow Lion) who made their first appearance in the conformation ring in November just a couple of days after Felix turned 8 months.  Felix came home from two days of showing with the points and 2 BOW winners ribbons.  While Sarah is an experienced Agility exhibitor with her TT "Boo", this was her first venture in the conformation ring.

Felix is a speed demon who - after having a creative and fun time on the regular course - got a novice jumpers leg (and high score in his class) at the Lancaster TT Specialty with a perfect score while doing the course in 30.29 seconds, well under the  40 seconds allowed. He completed his Novice Jumpers title at the Cato, NY, trial on June 26 and completed his Novice Standard title at the Susque-Nango, NY, show on August 28th.
Burly, CD
Big-time congratulations to Jan and Fred Schroeder and "Burly" (Kathmandu's Lord Burlington, CD). Jan and "the coat factory" entered their first two obedience trials in late September 2003 and Burly came home with two legs towards the three needed for his CD. A couple of weeks later, they entered their third trial and Burly came home not only with his third leg to complete his title but also with a ribbon for second highest score in the Novice A class. WAY TO GO!  He is now training for his CDX.
Philly finishing
Congratulations to Maggie Maquire on finishing 17-month old
CH. Ganden's Philly Cheeze in May 2003.  Philly is the son of my CH. Kathmandu's In The Spotlight (Spotty-dog) and Maggie's CH. Ganden's Red Wing Mariah and was the result of sperm frozen in 2000. He is the first "Lizzie" grandchild to finish a title and did so just under the age of 18 months.  Phil sired his first litter in the fall of 2004.
