After wearing the group out with the photo session, they went on their first car ride. We went out to Greensburg to visit Diana and Jim and Diana's mom. Not only did they get to see the puppies, the pups got to experience new people in new surrounding (tile floors and a wooden deck, different furniture and views) as well as a chance to meet their father. Minnie, who is close to their size, went along for the ride as well.
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they adjusted to the different
surroundings. It took just a few minutes before they had tails up
and were exploring the kitchen and then went out onto the deck. No
one objected when Diana rolled each one over on his back and everybody
but Dana was willing to chase a crackly paper wadded up into a ball.
Lexie apparently found life was worth living - instead of retreating from
things, it was like someone had pushed her "on" button -she became very
outgoing and continued to be boisterous after we got home as well as the
next day.
